Be a part of the first annual MSAHacks!

MSAHacks is a 12 hour hackathon during which attendees from diverse backgrounds will collaborate on projects that address the Muslim community.

Take on challenges presented by organizations or plan and execute original ideas. Have an awesome idea for a non-profit initiative? An app. for Muslim students? Develop any and all ideas at MSAHacks! Hackers behind the best projects take home prizes.

Attend workshops about incorporating technology into projects, enjoy free food and snacks to keep you fueled, and dedicate a day to hacking for a better community!

Bring a team ranging from 2-6 members or just roll through on the day of to be grouped with some of the most innovative minds around.

Admission is free. Applications are open now until April 22nd, and acceptances will come out on April 29th.

What is a hackathon?

A hackathon is an event where hackers collaborate in teams to develop projects.

Who can be a hacker?

You! Any anybody you know. In order to execute a successful project, people from diverse backgrounds are needed. Are you a pre-med major? Incorporate biology in an creative way. Are you a literature major? Address an issue within the community that can be addressed with your skill set. The possibilities are endless.

What can I create?

A website with a unique feature, presentation laying out plans for an initiative, mock up designs for a new app. There is no limit on creativity!

How will projects be judged?

Projects will be judged according to creativity, implementation, proposed incorporation of technology, relevancy, and polish.
